Jennifer Aniston fans slam Letterman: A resurfaced video from 1999 has been doing the rounds on social media and it is making Jennifer Aniston fans all kinds of uncomfortable. Taken from host David Letterman's iconic Late Show, the clip shows him licking - yes, licking - Aniston's hair. For what reason, he alone knows.
The now 73-year-old has, of late, been under high scrutiny for many of his old talk shows that are increasingly been condemned for their questionable content.
Mid-chat with Aniston, Letterman leans in asking if he can just "try one thing" and comes up close against her face to lick a lock of her hair. The Friends actor, visibly startled, squeals: "What are you doing?" Letterman proceeds to keep that lock in his mouth for a bit.

Jennifer Aniston Fans Are Not Happy With Letterman
Aniston seems to laugh the incident off (and wipes his spit off her hair). "I'm sorry," he says and Aniston replies, "That was something that I'll never forget."
A few moments later, it is brought into their conversation again when Letterman says, "You ruined it for me... Are you happy?"
Jennifer Aniston fans, and the internet public at large, are taking none of that now and have called Letterman out for his interview. One Twitter user wrote, "Given how young Jen was then I’m sure she didn’t know what to do...don’t think she would have put up with it now! As we get older there is less we will endure."
Another wrote, "I get that some things are from a different time when we got offended by less but I don't ever remember something like this being acceptable growing up in the 90s."
Letterman Under Scrutiny For His Late Show Interviews
Letterman, post his decades-long years of glory, has come under the scanner since the release of The New York Times' documentary Framing Britney Spears which has raised doubts over iconic hosts' treatment of Hollywood's female actors.
Earlier this month, a clip of Letterman enquiring Lindsay Lohan about her rehab stints elicited similar reactions as Jennifer Aniston fans are now exhibiting.
While some pointed out that parts of the video are edited out and that Lohan got teary elsewhere in their conversation, the general sentiment towards Letterman's video remains mixed.
