Janhvi Kapoor Wore A Black Dress, Trolls Call It 'Sleepwear'

Janhvi Kapoor trolled on social media for wearing a dress of her choice speaks a lot about us as a society. For this is not the first time that a celebrity has been trolled for wearing a "revealing" dress or simply a beautiful one. She stepped out for dinner when the paparazzi clicked pictures of her which were uploaded on social media.

Kapoor is the daughter of Indian film producer Boney Kapoor and late actor, Sridevi. She made her acting debut in 2018 with the film Dhadak, alongside Ishaan Khatter. Her recent film on Gunjan Saxena titled Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl had won the actor's appreciation from the critics.

Apart from her films, fans love her on Instagram. The actor keeps uploading bits of her life and passion over there thus bringing a celebrity closer to the public. She has more than 16 million followers on Instagram. On May 8, she uploaded an image with her mother and wrote, "Even in your absence, I feel your love every day. Even in your absence, you're the best mother in the world. love u (heart emoji)."

Janhvi Kapoor Trolled

After Sridevi's death, Janhvi's father was tried on media for the allegation of killing his wife. This had created a ruckus for the family dragging children and a husband who was already in mourning. In the past, people on social media have attacked her for coming from a dominant Bollywood family, especially when the entire boycott of Bollywood was trending.

This time she was trolled for wearing a gorgeous black dress with a slit to dinner. Fans on social media started commenting on her state of mind in the dress. They started guessing that the actor looks uncomfortable and uneasy in the dress and it looked like something to be worn to bed. These comments were made under the photo post made by Viral Biyani on Instagram.

People called it lingerie, undergarment and petticoat amongst other things. In a conversation with Filmfare on trolling, Janhvi had opened up about it and said, "How do I deal with trolling on social media? I have become increasingly indifferent to it. But time and again, I think I'm always a little surprised and taken aback by the double standards sometimes. And how bitter some people can be, but then again, it's not a big deal."
