Janhvi Reveals Finding Her Teenage Pics On 'Almost Pornographic Pages'

Janhvi Kapoor has been a prominent figure since her early years due to her renowned parents, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. In a recent interview, Kapoor recalled her first encounter with paparazzi at the tender age of 10. To her surprise, she was taken aback when she discovered her images featured on Yahoo's homepage, a highly popular website at the time.

Speaking with Newslaundry, Kapoor revealed that she appeared "very uncomfortable" and not "well-groomed" in those early photos. This caused her to feel "alienated" from her peers. Contrary to what one might expect, this did not make her more popular; instead, she experienced a lack of understanding from her peers, which eventually turned into dislike. She mentioned, "I don't think they understood it, so they started disliking me. I didn't understand what was happening." She shared that her friends started treating her differently and making fun of her for not adhering to grooming standards.

The actor went on to reveal that, as a teenager, she was shocked to discover that her photographs had been manipulated and shared on "inappropriate, almost pornographic pages." She noted that the proliferation of fake images has increased, particularly with today's advanced AI technology. People often mistake these manipulated images for real ones, which deeply concerns her.

Throughout her childhood, Kapoor faced significant judgement, even as she willingly entered the spotlight. This constant scrutiny led to a questioning of her self-worth at a very young age. Even her teachers changed their attitudes towards her. Some implied that she didn't need to work for her success because of her fame, leading to “weird taunts” that she couldn't fully grasp.

Meanwhile, Kapoor's latest appearance was in the film Bawaal, which stirred controversy upon its release on an OTT platform. Additionally, she made a special cameo appearance in a song in Dharma Production's Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The actor received widespread appreciation for her roles in Mili and Gunjan Saxena, delivering performances that garnered significant acclaim.
