The trailer of Dhanush starrer action thriller Jagame Thandhiram is out. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film trailer shows the lead actor as a nomadic gangster working with the global mafia. The much-anticipated film will premiere on Netflix from June 18.
On June 1, Dhanush took to Twitter to release the trailer of one of the much-awaited films. “What would have been a great theatrical experience coming to Netflix. Nevertheless hope you all enjoy jagame thandhiram and suruli,” the actor wrote while sharing the trailer.

Here's what we know about the film Jagame Thandhiram:
-In the action thriller, Dhanush essays the role of a gangster from Madurai, who is hired by London-based crime lord, played by James Cosmo. The latter’s agenda is to infiltrate the ranks of rival gangster leader Sivadoss.
-Initially the makers wanted a Hollywood actor to be a part of the project. As per reports, the director Karthik Subbaraj approached Al Pacino to star in the film.
-The ensemble film cast includes Dhanush, Aishwarya Lekshmi and James Cosmo in lead roles, while Joju George and Kalaiyarasan portray supporting roles.
-The Tamil action thriller marks the Indian film debut of British actor and Game of Thrones fame James Cosmo, who essayed the role of Lord Commander Jeor Mormont in the show.
-The film was rumoured to head for an OTT release, however, producer S Sashikanth took to Twitter to clarify that Jagame Thandhiram will only be released in cinema theatres.
-According to reports, Dhanush, who wanted a theatrical release, had requested Shashikanth to not go for OTT release, but the producer continued negotiations with Netflix.
