Jitendra Kumar's Sports Comedy 'Jaadugar' To Release In July; Read Details

Jitendra Kumar is riding high on success after a successful Panchayat second season. Kumar has a new project with one of the most renowned streaming platforms. The film, titled Jaadugar, is billed as a sports comedy-drama featuring Kumar in the lead role.

The streaming company announced the announcement with a 20-second teaser video that features Kumar as a magician as well as a man pursuing his goals. According to the synopsis, the series is "set in the football-loving hamlet of Neemuch, Jaadugar is the story of a small-time magician, Meenu, who has no athletic ability, who must show his value in a prestigious inter-colony football competition in order to marry the love of his life."

The synopsis also reveals that there are only two things working against him, one, the girl doesn't reciprocate his feelings; and two, his team hasn't won a game in years.  Jaadugar also features Arushi Sharma and Javed Jaafery.

The teaser was also shared on the streaming platform's official account with the caption, "Neemuch ke pyaare Jaadugar ka, Deviyon aur sajjanon, taaliyon ke saath swagat kariye only on Netflix, apna jaadu le kar aa rahe hai 15th July ko! "

The drama will premiere on Netflix on July 15, 2022, and will be directed by Sameer Saxena and written by Biswapati Sarkar.

According to the makers, Jaadugar is about friendship and love wrapped up in a heartwarming sports comedy. Director-producer Sameer Saxena said in a statement, "Jaadugar is our attempt to provide a completely different take on sports and romance. We've tried to build a story that's high on entertainment and caters to an enormously wide audience, with magic as another essential aspect of the film."

Producers Amit Golani and Saurabh Khanna added, "'The story is up the alley of Sameer Saxena, Biswapati Sarkar and Jitendra Kumar. The three have collaborated on a film for the first time, despite having a long list of successful projects to their name. The film's canvas has been expanded thanks to its association with a global platform like Netflix."

Meanwhile, Jitendra Kumar will also reprise his role as Abhishek Tripathi in the third season of Panchayat, which was recently renewed by the creators.
