Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan
This extremely popular love story of Nandini and Manik was actually based on the popular K-drama Boys Over Flowers. The show portrayed the importance of friendships and relationships and how they impact each other and the lives of the people involved. The show had a similar elite group of friends and a love triangle, the only difference that set them apart was that it did not have the iconic F4 and instead had a Fab 5. However, both these shows became extremely popular among the youth for the notions of love, drama, friendships and relationships.
Kahani Hamari....Dil Dosti Deewanepan Ki
This 2016 show starring Karan Wahi, Rhea Sharma and Nikhil Chaddha was an unofficial remake of the Lee Min-ho, Kim Woo-bin and Park Shin-hye's popular teen drama The Heirs. While there were no announcements of it being an Indian adaptation of the show, Kahan Hamari.. had the similar plot as The Heirs featuring rich conglomerate kids, middle class female lead, friendships and love triangle between the main cast and the development of the connections. Both the shows were popular for their romantic plot an chemistry of the cast.
Business Proposal
The cat and mouse chase of Shin Ha-ri and Kang Tae-moo, the issue of hidden identity and the web of lies will be made into the Indian version and the netizens are already weighing in their suggestions for the cast. The Kross Pictures show Business Proposal will reportedly get a Hindi and Telugu remake and many Indian media companies have approached its makers for remake rights. The show starred Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Se-jeong, Seol In-ah and Kim Min-kyu and was an office romance between the CEO of a leading food company and his employee.
Something In The Rain
This popular 2018 drama starring Jung Hae-in and Son Ye-jin in lead roles will officially be remade into Indian adaptation. Indian media company Pocket Aces has reportedly brought the rights to remake the series. The show is about a woman in her 30's who falls in love with the younger brother of her best friend. The show spoke about many issues of the Korean society including career and relationship stereotypes, dating taboos and age differences.
