Indian Matchmaking Season 2 Release Date And Time: Sima Taparia Returns

Indian Matchmaking season 2 release date and time is confirmed and Sima Taparia is all set to return to our screens soon. Season 2 will focus on Sima Taparia on yet another match-making journey, helping out single desi's around the world.

In the previous season of Indian Matchmaking host, Sima Taparia used her match-making skills on eight desi residents in the United States and India. The second season will follow a similar narrative and will reportedly feature “some familiar faces” including Aparna Shewakramani, from season 1 with some new ones. The demands of the single desis looking for a partner in the second season reportedly range from having man buns and love for taco bell, to “ovo-lacto-semi-vegetarian diet”.

Indian Matchmaking Season 2 Release Date And Time

Indian Matchmaking Season 2 is slated to release on the streaming platform Netflix on August 10, 2022. The OTT giant confirmed the same with a post captioned, “Sima from Mumbai is back! Indian Matchmaking Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, August 10 on Netflix. Gets down on one knee and asks if there are plans for season 2 of Indian Matchmaking. The Answer Is Yes. Seema aunty and Indian Matchmaking will return for a second season.”

The show was renewed for seasons 2 and 3, even before season 2 premiered on the platform. Talking about the audience's response to the show, matchmaker-host Sima Taparia said,"The love I've gotten from the fans of the show has been wonderful. Matchmaking is my passion, and it's a joy to share my work with audiences around the world. Sima from Mumbai is back!” She also added- “I was totally surprised by the response to the first season of Indian Matchmaking. I was “overwhelmed” by the love I had gotten and the appreciation for “Indian culture and values”.

Helmed by Smriti Mundhra, a filmmaker, who has previously worked with Sima Taparia on a documentary called "A Suitable Girl", the show's executive producers are Aaron Saidman, Eli Holzman, and J.C. Begley. Season 2 is set to have a whole of 8 episodes.  Aparna Shewakramani took to her social media, teasing the audience, in a post captioned- “Hmm, feel like this could be better, I am on Indian Matchmaking again. Catch it on Netflix, on August 10!”
