Sima Taparia, the popular matchmaker in Mumbai, is back for Indian Matchmaking season 2 on Netflix. The second season's eight episodes will soon begin airing. The new, hour-long episodes will feature Taparia working with millennials all across the world to find their ideal partner. Expectations from both current and potential customers are higher than ever this season.
In order to help lucky singles find the one, Taparia will once more depend on her decades of knowledge and conventional ways, whether it's navigating a single's wishlist or their "ovo-lacto-semi-vegetarian" diet. She informs Variety, “The love I’ve gotten from the fans of the show has been wonderful,” adding that her love is matchmaking, and it gives her great joy to share it with audiences all over the world.

The show's creator and executive producer, Academy Award nominee Smriti Mundhra, says that Season 1 of Indian Matchmaking received an outpouring of support and that they are thrilled to be back with new episodes that explore the emotional rollercoaster and difficult conversations encountered while looking for love.
Executive producers of the show include Aaron Saidman, Eli Holzman, and J.C. Begley. It was nominated for an Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program Emmy in 2021. The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), a division of Sony Pictures TV, is in charge of producing Indian Matchmaking. In July 2020, Season 1 debuted on Netflix.
A new series called Jewish Matchmaking is joining the franchise, Netflix revealed in March. The spinoff will follow people looking for their soul mate in America and Israel who turn to a Jewish matchmaker employing the custom of a shidduch. Sima Taparia posted the first few images from the upcoming season on her official Instagram page. Taparia folds her hands in the first image, and in the following several images, we recognise a few known faces, including Aparna Shewakramani.
