A celebrity star kid can easily access the chambers of Karan Johar and ease their way into getting scripts, films, paparazzi and basically a starry life given by the leverage of their parent’s hard work or possible leftover privilege from their grandparents also.

"I definitely believe that knowing people in the industry does help. That’s not a fact that I can run away from. I’ve often admitted to the fact that the biggest advantage of nepotism is the fact that we have easy access to people. I can call up Karan Johar without doing any film. I can go to Rohit Shetty’s office. So these are privileges I’m well aware of.” That was Sara Ali Khan. An honest admission no doubt. And one that clears any doubts that nepotism in Bollywood is absolutely prevalent.

2020 saw massive debates on nepotism right after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Kangana Ranaut's war with Karan Johar on his show Koffee With Karan sparked off an entire wave of speaking up about the subject. However, as new platforms emerge for entertainment, many actors in the industry have made a name for themselves despite the clouds of privilege star-kids have. These women have made it big in 2020 despite all the odds, which let’s be honest are magnanimous. Let’s find out who they are:

1.Rasika Dugal
