Ileana D'Cruz Ceramic Shells: Actor Ileana D'Cruz spoke about the time when the director of her first film told her to wear heavy ceramic shells around her waist for a scene. He said that the scene would be 'romantic and feminine'.
Ileana D'Cruz was talking about Devadasu, her first film which was released in 2006. "It was like a full-on love story, very passionate and intense. And there’s a song in that film in which ceramic shells, and they were pretty heavy, they were dropped on my waist. And I didn’t understand it honestly because I was just 18-years-old. I was so young, so naive, " she said during an interview with Bollywood Bubble.
She then went on to talk about how the director justified that the scene she was shooting for was a sensual one. The director had told her that the shells would look 'beautiful' in slow motion. Ileana then added that although she didn't understand him entirely, she decided to go with the flow.
Ileana D'Cruz also said that she wouldn't mind shooting things that "look beautiful and feminine" as it is a part of her job. However, she said that she would try out something lighter than the heavy ceramic shells. Although it was a little heavy, she said that she has the abs for it.
