Shoojit Sircar's directorial, I Want To Talk hit the big screen on November 22.The ironically titled film, features Abhishek Bachchan, who lacks speech throughout the film. He plays the character of ArjunSen, who is grippling with an almost dead marketing career in California. He even contemplates suicide. But as an unfortunate twist, he gets diagnosed with laryngeal cancer, which revitalises his zest for life.
I Want To Talk: The Plot
We see Arjun's journey from a man of lost desires to a man who runs marathons for friends who support him during these tough times. But I want to talk is not simply the story of overcoming and fighting cancer. It also tells the tale of the fragility of life and relationships through the father-daughter bond explored in the film. Ahliya Bamroo plays Abhishek's daughter, and her quest becomes a parallel mission for Abhishek amidst fighting cancer.
I Want To Talk: Twitter Review
The internet audience is currently awestruck by Bachchan's performance in the film. The prevailing dominant opinion says that he has delivered his "career-best" performance with this. His performance will be the highlight of the film; he has shown just the right amount of emotion in his natural charisma that promises to swoop the audience in. About the storyline and plot, one complaint about the slow pace of the film with underwhelming and dwindling emotions could be identified. Or the fact that it unleashes entire focus on the fragility of life; this may have overshadowed the father-daughter bond they intended to showcase.
Other than that, Shoojit Sircar has been appreciated for showing emotions in the most raw and unkempt form possible. People seem to love and applaud the dynamic duo of Abhishek and Shoojit.

Shoojit Sircar’s I Want To Talk explores grief and father-daughter bonds with Abhishek Bachchan's compelling act, but falls short emotionally. A slow pace and underwhelming moments limit its impact.#IWantToTalk #AbhishekBachchan #ShoojitSircar #MovieReview #Bollywood pic.twitter.com/gBqluUS4Md
