Shefali Shah Starrer 'Human' Trailer Released: Here's All About The Web Series

The trailer for the new web series Human starring Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari was released on Tuesday afternoon.

Exploring the world of pharmaceuticals and drug testing, the series shows how ethics are compromised while chasing profits. The trailer starts with a narration explaining the importance of testing drugs on humans. Shefali Shah is seen playing the role of Dr Gauri Nath who is a medical professional and her protege, Dr Saira Sabharwal is essayed by Kirti Kulhari.

The"> trailer shows how the two women are left with two choices. They can either protect themselves in the event of the unexpected tragedy brought by the human trials of their company's drug or tell the truth.

The web series has been directed by Mozez Singh and Amrutlal Shah. Apart from Shefali Shah and Kirti Kulhari, the show has an ensemble cast with includes Seema Biswas, Mihan Agashe, Ram Kapoor, Vishal Jethwa and Aditya Srivastava.

The series is set to start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from January 14, 2022. The official synopsis of the show reads, "A pharma giant is using India’s lax clinical trial rules to fast track the development of a new drug, despite lethal side effects. Meanwhile, 35-year-old Dr Saira Sabharwal lands a dream job in Bhopal’s premier hospital under the mentorship of the iconic 45-year-old Dr Gauri Nath. Saira grows under Gauri’s tutelage and as the two women start to form a deep bond over their commitment to the medical cause. However, a shocking discovery throws their life into chaos as their story becomes intertwined with that of a young migrant worker, Mangu, who is all set to wreak havoc on the medical system."

While talking about the series, Shah said that she could not help imagine the current scenario we are living in with the vaccine trials and the hospitals. She said, "It makes one question humanity and everything that transpires to keep it intact."
