This year is full of promising content from the Bollywood industry as many star-studded films are queued up for the upcoming months. Here's a list of Hindi films releasing in May 2022 to watch out for:

2022 is jam-packed with entertainment as the year will witness many theatrical releases after a long time if COVID-19 does not hit hard again. Films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, The Kashmir Files, Bachchan Pandey and Jersey have already made the audience come back to the normal with their theatrical release in 2022 as most of these films had been postponed numerous times in order to get a release in cinemas. With the bar already set high, the viewers are excited to see more of the entertaining content by the leading actors of Bollywood.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar

Ranveer Singh-starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar is an upcoming Hindi comedy-drama film which stars the actor in the titular role. The film revolves around Jayeshbhai, the son of a Gujarati sarpanch who believes in the equality of men and women in the society. Actors Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak also star in major roles. Jayeshbhai Jordaar is set to release in cinemas on May 13, 2022.

Dhaakad

Starring Kangana Ranaut, Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in the lead roles, Dhaakad will release on May 20, 2022. Dhaakad follows the story of an international spy agent Agni who investigates an international human trafficking racket headed by a top criminal, Rudraveer, who has been underground since ten years. The action-thriller film is directed by Razneesh Ghai and is distributed by Zee Studios.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a sequel to 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa starring Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Ali Advani in main roles. The horror-comedy film is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar. According to reports, the sequel film will not continue the story further, nor will it be a psychological thriller. The film is expected to be a ghost story with a totally different storyline. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will release on May 20, 2022.

Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway

Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway is an upcoming Hindi-language film starring Rani Mukerji in the lead role based on a real-life story. The film revolves around an adamant mother and her fight against the Norwegian authorities in an attempt to get her children back. The film is directed by Ashima Chibber under the banner of Zee Entertainment and Emmay Entertainment. The Hindi-drama film will release on May 20, 2022.

Anek

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana will be working with filmmaker Anubhav Sinha for the second time after Article 15 in their upcoming film Anek. The socio-political film is set in the backdrop of the geopolitical area of the northeast. The actor mentioned about his exciting project in an interview saying, "Anek, is a project that’s extremely close to my heart and it’s a powerful film because it should invoke a sense of patriotism amongst audiences." The film will release on May 27, 2022.
