Bride and Prejudice, 2004

Manorama (Nadira Babbar) and Chaman Bakshi (Anupam Kher) are feverishly looking for the appropriate grooms for their four lovely daughters who are approaching marriageable age. Lalita (Aishwarya Rai), her older sister Jaya (Namrata Shirodkar), and two younger sisters, Lakhi (Peeya Rai Chowdhary) and Maya (Meghna Kothari). While the core plot revolves around Lalita and her love life, this film also highlights the bond that sisters have. Living with your sisters is a mix of competing personalities and common concerns (such as domineering mothers), which the film masterfully depicted. 

Dangal, 2016

The film is a sports biopic on Indian wrestlers Geeta Phogat, Babita Kumari and their father Mahavir Singh Phogat. While Aamir played Mahavir Singh and Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra played adult versions of the two sisters. In the critically acclaimed film, both sisters experience the hardships of being raised by a taskmaster father, and despite a few disagreements, they support each other on their journey to becoming top-notch wrestlers.

No One Killed Jessica, 2011

No One Killed Jessica is based on a real incident wherein a woman named Jessica Lal was killed by a politician's son. The movie starred Vidya Balan and Rani Mukerji in the film appear as Jessica Lal's sister and the lawyer who picks the case concerning Jessica to fight. The film stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Myra Karn in supporting roles in the film.  This film depicts a sibling's fierce protectiveness and the lengths to which they will go to get justice for them.

Pataakha, 2018

Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan, Sunil Grover, Saanand Verma, Lankesh Bhardwaj, and Vijay Raaz star in the film, which is based on Charan Singh Pathik's short story Do Behnein. In Rajasthan, Badki (Malhotra) and Chhutki (Madan) live in a small town and the two sisters fight for everything—from stolen beedi to ripped clothing. While the sisters are provoked by their neighbour Dipper, their father tries to make them affectionate. However, in their own quirky way, the sisterly love finds a way to show on-screen and it's a fun ride.

Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, 2007

Jaya Bachchan, Rani Mukherji, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kunal Kapoor, Anupam Kher, and Abhishek Bachchan are among the cast members. Rani Mukerji plays Vibhavari, also known as Badki, who leaves her small-town life behind to work as a call girl in order to fund the education of her younger sister, Shubhavari, also known as Chutki, who is played by Konkona Sen Sharma. The film's plus point is the love and affection between both sisters.
