1. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Deepika Padukone, for a long time in her life, loved Bunny, played by Ranbir Kapoor. She was, however, mature and strong enough to let go of him as she understood how important his dreams and career were for him. Kalki Koechlin, on the other hand, was in deep love with Aditya Roy Kapoor's character who didn't reciprocate her feelings and treated her like a friend. In the second half of the story, Kalki is seen moving on with her life and marrying the person she feels she will stay happy with.

2. Dil To Pagal Hai

Nisha and Rahul are best friends. Problems arise when Nisha falls for him but Rahul doesn't see his Maya in Nisha. He finds his dream girl in Pooja played by Madhuri Dixit. The movie shows how Rahul leaves no stone unturned to prove to Pooja that he is the one God has made for her. In the process, Nisha is deeply hurt but cheers for her best friend when he unites with his lady love.

3. Dil Chahata Hai

Tara, played by Dimple Kapadia, is an alcoholic and a divorcee. Neither of this matters to Sid who falls deeply in love with her. He, however, is aware of the fact that she might not love him back and doesn't expect her to. The maturity that his character showed is rare in Indian cinema.

4. Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa

Sunil, played by Shahrukh Khan, is head over heels in love with Anna who is smitten by Chris. He tries his best to woo Anna who has her hopes pinned on Chris. Will Sunil win Anna's heart or live forever carrying unrequited love in his heart? Watch the movie to find out.

5. PK

PK, an alien, falls in love with journalist Jaggu. He is about to express his love to her but is taken aback on realising that she loves someone else. What does he do then? He helps Jaggu in reuniting with her love Sarfaraz and goes back to his planet.
