Hindi Films on Mother-daughter bond

A daughter-and-mother team played by Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah has no qualms about manipulating those around them as pawns. Many people wonder if they are the real criminals as a result of their attempts to influence the police. Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah are expected to deliver a performance that is both funny and unique. More than words can express, a mother-daughter relationship is unique and stronger. Here are several movies and shows that beautifully examine this challenging mother-daughter connection.

Masaba Masaba

There is no disputing that the show's plot and scripting are excellent, but Neena Gupta's relationship with her daughter Masaba Gupta on TV is just endearing. With their different performances in the series Masaba Masaba, Neena and Masaba undoubtedly provided everyone with loads of mother-daughter goals, from hearing them discuss the difficulties of life and doubting themselves to their charming debates and conflicts.

Masaba Masaba is the first programme of its sort to be produced in India that is based on fictionalised accounts of the lives of superstars. Masaba and her mother are true to themselves, and even though it's stated that the show is 70% fiction and 30% reality, it's clear that every innovation or plot twist was motivated by actual occasions and emotional ebbs that the mother-daughter team has experienced—often in parallel universes but with cross-over effects. They complement and enhance one another; as a result, disagreements arise that contribute to some of the drama on the show.

Neerja

Neerja (Sonam Kapoor), a flight attendant who is 22 years old, was Rama Bhanot's (Shabana Azmi) daughter. We can all identify with her worry for Neerja's job, which required constant alertness on her part. Like any other mother, Rama would make certain that her daughter was prepared for work before she left. Neerja was the absolute centre of her existence.

The narrative is based on a true incident: the attempted hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 by the Abu Nidal Organization, which was supported by Libya, on September 5, 1986, in Karachi, Pakistan. The head crew of the flight, Neerja Bhanot, who stopped the hijack attempt by warning the pilots and forcing them to ground the aircraft, is portrayed in the movie. Bhanot lost his life while attempting to save the 359 survivors among the 379 passengers and crew.

English Vinglish

Indian homemaker Shashi Godbole ( Sridevi) runs a small home-based company making and selling laddoos. Shashi feels gloomy and insecure since her husband Satish and daughter Sapna treat her with contempt, joke about how little English she speaks, and generally take her for granted. Sagar, her small son, loves her the way she is, and her mother-in-law expresses sympathy for her.

Shashi Godbole's adoring mother is portrayed by Sridevi. She secretly enrols in an English-language course in the United States in an effort to garner respect from her daughter Sapna (Navika Kotia) and her husband Satish (Adil Hussain), who always make fun of her English. Sapna used to criticise her mother mercilessly. While Shashi continued to provide her daughter unwavering affection despite her unpleasant home tasks.

 Nil Battey Sannata

One of the most endearing mother-daughter films, Nil Battey Sannata is built on the idea that everyone has the right to change their lives and pursue their dreams, regardless of social standing. Swara Bhaskar portrays Chanda Sahay, a single mother of a temperamental young daughter named Apeksha and a high school dropout who works as a domestic maid (Ria Shukla). When Chanda enrols herself in the same school and class as her daughter, the two develop a love-hate relationship. Since her only dream was to see Apeksha succeed in life and not live the life she did, she does that to encourage Apeksha to do well in her tests.
