Himanshi Khurana Is The First Female Punjabi Artist To Feature On Times Square Billboard

Himanshi Khurana: Actor, singer, model and Bigg Boss 13 contestant Himanshi Khurana has become the first female Punjabi artist to be featured on New York City’s Time Square Billboard.

Khurana’s latest song Surma Bole was released on February 20, 2021 and has broken several records and got over three lakh views within a couple of hours. The lyrics of the track were written by Bunty Bains, and the music video was directed by Sandeep Sharma. Her look from the song was featured on the Time Square Billboard and her fans rejoiced.

Khurana began trending on Twitter, and her fans took to social media to congratulate her. Last year, the Punjabi singer, songwriter, and actor Diljit Dosanjh was featured on the Times Square Billboard for his blockbuster hit single ‘G.O.A.T’.

Himanshi Khurana is known for her songs Soch, Mann Bharya, and Surma Bole along with her appearance in the Punjabi movie Sadda Haq. Her most popular television appearance was in 2019 when she participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 13 as a contestant. Khurana’s modelling career began at the age of 16, when she became Miss Ludhiana. In 2010, she was one of the finalists in Miss PTC Punjabi and that same year she won Miss North Zone contest which was organized in Chandigarh.
