The makers of the upcoming Netflix film Haseen Dillruba released the first teaser on Monday. The murder mystery thriller starring Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey will premiere on the streaming platform on July 2.

In the minute-long teaser, the audience is acquainted with the premise of the film that is ‘three shades of love’ - lust, obsession, and deceit. The characters are introduced in the montage giving us an idea about the love triangle they are involved in. The teaser suggests that the lead characters are a married couple and Rane is the 'other man' in the story.
Pannu took to her social media handles and shared the eight-second long clip and wrote, “Kahani Aashiqana. Raaz Katilana. #HaseenDillruba coming soon. Only on Netflix. #TheUltimateKaunspiracy”.
Directed by Vinil Mathew, the much-anticipated suspense thriller has an ensemble cast of Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane in key roles. While speaking of the film, Mathew described it as a story that explores “the various dynamics of human relationships”.
Also, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Taapsee Pannu deemed the forthcoming film a "Hindi pulp fiction”.
In the film, which is written by Kanika Dhillon and produced by Aanand L Rai, Pannu plays a woman who is a 'self-obsessed borderline narcissist', as described by the actor herself.
Dhillon has films like Judgementall Hai Kya and Taapsee Pannu-starrer Manmarziyaan to her credit.
Initially,Haseen Dillruba was scheduled to have a theatrical release in September 2020, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the release was postponed.
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu has films such as Looop Lapeta, Dobaaraa, Shabaash Mithu, and Rashmi Rocket in the pipeline. Vikrant Massey previously appeared on Netflix's Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Cargo, and Ginny Weds Sunny.
