Guns And Gulaabs: Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan unveil their first looks

Rajkummar Rao and Dulquer Salman have taken social media by the storm, by unveiling their first look in their upcoming Netflix series Guns and Gulaabs. Most sought-after Director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K, of Family Man, have directed and produced the web series, under D2R productions.

Following the narrative of “misfits of the world”, Guns and Gulaabs will be an amalgamation of the 90s romance with a crime thriller. Guns and Gulaabs marks Raj and DK’s second collaboration with Netflix, after last year’s Telugu film Cinema Bandi.

Raj and DK in an interview have stated, “Last year, we had a great outing on Netflix with our indie gem, Cinema Bandi. And now we look forward to a larger collaboration on our first Netflix series, Guns & Gulaabs. We are especially thrilled to roll out this wicked genre mash with some of the finest cast and crew from our country.”

Guns and Gulaabs: All We Know

Guns and Gulaabs marks the OTT debut of Malayalam Super Star Dulquer Salman. This will mark his third venture in the Hindi industry after Karwaan and The Zoya Factor. Unveiling his first look on Instagram Salman stated, “Put on your seatbelts and get ready for a ride back to the 90s with me.” He is seen sitting on a jeep's bonnet, sporting a 90s famous mustache and stubble.

Rajkummar Rao will be back with Raj and DK for the second time after Stree. This show marks his web series debut on Netflix. Guns and Gulaabs will also be starring his co-star from Badhaai Do, Gulshan Devaiah, and Gourav Adarsh of The White Tiger. Rajkummar along with Dulquer Salman also took to his socials to unveil his first look, sporting longer hair and sipping a campa with a straw, stating “So thrilled to announce the first look of my first Netflix series #GunsAndGulaabs. Tayyar ho jaiye (get ready) because I’m coming to bring the fire in my 90s avatar! Brace yourself for an exciting adventure filled with crime, love and dhamakedaar punchlines. Guns & Gulaabs, created, produced, and directed by the supremely talented @rajanddk coming soon on @netflix_in @d2r_films."

Netflix has described Guns & Gulaabs as “a story of love and innocence set in a criminal world. Inspired by the world’s misfits, the series will uniquely blend ’90s romance and crime thrillers, while simultaneously easily incorporating it into the humor.”

Since the success of The Family Man, the director duo Raj and DK have become well known, and the audience has high expectations for their upcoming Netflix venture ‘Guns & Gulaabs’.
