The 2023 Oscars were significant for India. The Elephant Whisperers, directed by Guneet Monga, won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film in addition to winning Best Original Music for the RRR song Naatu Naatu. The composer of Naatu Naatu, MM Keeravaani, has just revealed how Monga was sent to the hospital for breathlessness after winning the prestigious award.

Monga felt breathless after her victory because she wasn't given time to speak, and as a result, she was taken to the hospital. According to what Keeravaani said to Galatta Plus, his prayers were heard by the universe, and it came to pass. It was just fairly exciting, but not to the point where you fell short of breath like the other award winner, Guneet Monga. "She was not given time to speak her words, so she went breathless and she was hospitalised also," he added.

Monga had previously stated that she had been astonished when the Academy did not give her the opportunity to speak after her victory. She talked about how she had missed her chance to deliver her Oscar speech to the Bombay Times. She said she just wanted to convey that it's India's first Oscar for an Indian production, which is such a big deal. She added that this left her with a shocked expression on her face. She couldn't have travelled so far without being heard, so her heart began to beat quickly. She also stated, "I’ll go back there and I will make sure I’m heard." Monga has returned to India. She arrived back last week to a joyful and proud reception at the airport.
