While collecting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for her album 'Midnights', she dropped the bomb by announcing her 11th album 'The Tortured Poets Department' taking fans by surprise who had been anticipating the record for her 6th and last album, 'Reputation' with the Big Machine Records.
She said, "So, I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I've been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19." The singer added "It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I'm gonna go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you. I love you. Thank you."
The singer then went backstage and posted the details of her new album as promised on her Instagram releasing the poster with the caption that read, "All's fair in love and poetry," signing herself the "Chairman of The Tortured Poets Department."
