Gossip Girl release date: The official trailer for the highly anticipated Gossip Girl was released on June 10. Before this, a first look and a short teaser have also been released which gave fans an insight into some of the characters of the show.
The Gossip Girl reboot will be in the hands of its original creators, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, including executive producer Joshua Safran. According to Cosmopolitan, the new show “explores just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years.”
The shooting for the reboot was scheduled to begin in March 2020 but was postponed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new Gossip Girl is reported to be a continuation rather than a remake of the first show. The first Gossip Girl aired from 2007 to 2012 and starred actors Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, and Ed Westwick.
