Gigi Hadid: Supermodel Gigi Hadid returns to the runway just five months after giving birth to her daughter, Khai.

Hadid returned to the runway at Versace’s Milan Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2021 showcase, five months after giving birth to her daughter. She stormed alongside her younger sister Bella Hadid with a virtual pre-recorded show that was released on YouTube on March 5, 2021. The models Irina Shayk and Precious Lee also joined the Hadid sisters in the virtual showcase.

Designers had to think of new ways to showcase their designs while also keeping with the current health and safety guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Donatella Versace debuted the collection on Instagram. When speaking about her vision for the show, Versace told Vogue that “Models are like actors, they bring the designs to life, just like when a performer portrays a character. During the filming of this show I saw how important it is to give the models time to 'feel' the clothes they wear on the runway.”

This showcase is the first time Hadid starred in a show since she and Zayn Malik welcomed their daughter Khai into the world in September. After the Milan Fashion Week came to a close on March 1, 2021, Hadid was seen wearing a diamond-adorned necklace that spelled out Khai.
