On Friday, Khan had slammed Indian media for their coverage of Sidharth Shukla's death. Calling the reporting "shameful", she said that the media houses should be ashamed of it. "Hang your heads if this is what you do to someone who has lost a loved one! Be ashamed, very ashamed," she added. Further, the actor said that all media houses were "sensationalising" the tragedy.
Khan was also disappointed at the way the actors "took off their masks" right before being photographed by the media at Shukla's funeral. She said she was "disgusted" with everything that was going on. She said that celebrities really wanted pay respect, they could say a little prayer for the departed soul, instead of making it an opportunity to get clicked! The 14 Phere actor concluded, "I am sorry Sid! rest in peace super star."
