Gauahar Khan Father Passes Away: Television actor Gauahar Khan's father, who was admitted to a Mumbai hospital due to health issues, passed away today. He was suffering from health issues since last year. Confirming the news, Khan took to Instagram and wrote, "My Hero . No man like u , Ever ! My father has passed , to the ever after as an Angel . Alhamdulillah. His passing away was a testament to his beautiful life n the best soul he was . Forever My Pappa . I love you oh so much . I am sooooo much of you Pappa . N yet can never ever be even a percent of your magnanimous personality. #MyForeverShiningStar Keep him in your prayers please (sic)"
First confirming the news of Zafar Khan's demise in an Instagram post, Gauahar Khan’s close friend Preeti Simoes shared a video and wrote, “Mere Gauahar ke pappa... To the man I loved… Lived with pride ... and will be remembered with pride. Strength and Love. To the family.” Comprising of pictures and videos of Gauahar’s father, Simoes posted the video as a tribute.
Gauahar Khan’s father's Zafar Khan, had been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai almost a month ago. On February 23, the Tandav actor posted a selfie from a hospital room in which she could be seen wearing a mask. Khan wrote in her story, “Please keep my dad in your prayers.”
Her last post from the ICU was 16 hours back.

The news of Zafar Khan's death comes a day after Gauahar posted a picture captioned "A fathers kiss" on Instagram, sharing moments from her wedding featuring her father. Khan, who is a Kashmiri, lived in Pune during her childhood and is married to Zaid Darbar. Darbar too had recently posted a picture from their wedding, writing, "Please keep my father in law in your Duaa's . Allah give him the best of health. Ameen! He's the coolest man I knok." Darbar's family, sister Anam and father music composer Ismail Darbar sent condolences to Gauahar Khan.
