Hindi films on working women with female protagonists who are career-oriented are a recent phenomenon. In India, films with working women have only begun in the last two decades, and the number has increased rapidly in the last decade.
From traditional mom characters to supporting female characters, women have finally got the centrestage with some meaty and mainstream roles. It's been a relief to not watch the woman being saved by the hero is some good strong films. 1 . Rashmi Rocket ( 2021)
Rashmi Rocket is a sports drama film set in India that will be released in Hindi in 2021. Rashmi Vira Thakur (Rashmi Rocket) is a track and field athlete from Bhuj in Kutch, Gujarat, played by Taapsee Pannu. competed in the Indian National Open Athletics Championships, the Asian Games in 2014, and the South Asian Games qualifiers in 2016.
2 . Saina ( 2021)
Saina is a biographical sports film in Hindi that will be released in India in 2021. The film covers the highs and lows of Saina Nehwal, India's star shuttler and former world number one. It also honours those who have made a significant contribution to her tenacity and unyielding spirit.
At least three episodes of her life stand out as having significant potential to be the focus of the film: her relationship with her mother during her early days at the institute, her relationship with Kashyap (whom she would later marry), and her conflict with her coach, Rajan.
3 . Sherni ( 2021)
Sherni is a thriller film released in India in the year 2021. Vidya Vincent (Vidya Balan), a dedicated forest officer, hasn't been promoted in nine years, and her new post in the forests of Bijaspur comes with its own set of challenges after six years as a desk profile. When she gently mentions to her husband, Pawan (Mukul Chaddha), that she feels stuck with no growth and that she might resign after she gets the sought-after promotion, he encourages her to stay.
4. Gunjan Saxena ( 2020)
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is a biographical drama film. With Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in supporting roles, Janhvi Kapoor plays Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, one of the country's first female fighter pilots (the first was Srividya Rajan).
Gunjan Saxena isn't a big fan of patriotism. It's about a young woman who likes to fly and doesn't care if she does so for a commercial airline or the Indian Air Force. Because they were allowing women at the time, she eventually joins the IAF.
5 .Panga ( 2020)
Panga is a sports film in Hindi. Panga is a film that honours mothers' long hours of dedication to their families while also encouraging them to never give up on their dreams and to give themselves a second chance. She initially struggles to cope with the pressures of a stressful job and the exercise routines that her son's enthusiasm forces her to complete, but after her storey is rediscovered, she regains her composure and, with the help of her family, marks her comeback to the sport as a mother of a 7-year-old. In the grand finale, she wins the Kabaddi Cup for Team India.
6. Shakuntala Devi ( 2020)
Shakuntala Devi is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language biographical drama film starring Vidya Balan as Shakuntala Devi, a.k.a. "Shaku." It is based on the life of Shakuntala Devi, a renowned mathematician whose astounding abilities to solve complex math problems in record time earned her worldwide admiration and awe. Shankuntala Devi' delves not just into the mathematician's interesting relationship with numbers, but also with her other relationships, particularly her life as a mother and a woman.

7. Love Aaj Kal ( 2020)
Love Aaj Kal is a romantic comedy-drama film released in Hindi in India in 2020. Sara Ali Khan's character, Zoe Chauhan, is twenty-two years old and has never been in a significant long-term relationship. She wants to pursue her job while having fun with no attachments attached. A complex character with a five-year plan to party and start her own event management firm before settling down in a long-term relationship.
8. Raazi (2018)
Raazi is a 2018 Indian spy thriller film directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Vineet Jain and Karan Johar. Alia Bhatt plays the lead actor in the ongoing film. During the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War, an Indian spy marries a Pakistani army commander in Raazi, a film based on true events. Alia Bhatt's character prioritises her work and country over her personal life, and she takes a secret mission to Pakistan.
9. Tumhari Sulu ( 2017)
Tumhari Sulu is a 2017 Hindi comedy-drama film written and directed by Suresh Triveni. Vidya Balan plays the title character, a hardworking housewife who moonlights as a late-night love advice radio host.
Sulu's search for her calling, the daily struggle to juggle work and family responsibilities, and the never-ending battle against her family's orthodoxy were all stories that women from all walks of life could identify with.
10. Neerja ( 2016)
Neerja is a 2016 Bollywood biographical thriller film directed by Ram Madhvani and written by Saiwyn Quadras and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh. Neerja's mother, Rama, is concerned about her daughter's employment as a flight attendant and advises her to return to her prior modelling career. The true storey of a flight purser who was shot and killed while defending the safety of hundreds of passengers on the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 is depicted in the film Neerja Bhanot.
