After over 12 years, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mani Ratnam will work together once more on the first instalment of the epic Ponniyin Selvan. The life of Arulmozhivarman, one of the most powerful monarchs in the south, who later rose to become the renowned Chola ruler Rajaraja Chola I, is shown in the film based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 Tamil novel of the same name. Bachchan will take on the role of Nandini, the furious Queen of Pazhuvoor. On September 30, the historical drama will be released.
Salman Khan
The actor worked with Chiranjeevi, one of the biggest names in South Indian cinema, for the upcoming Telugu action movie Godfather, which is a remake of the Mohanlal-starring Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer. Khan's first Telugu movie, Godfather, will include him in a significant part. Satyadev Kancharana and Nayanthara are also featured in the movie.
Kriti Sanon
In this Om Raut-directed movie, Sanon will portray the part of Sita. Adipurush, a 3D action drama celebrating the triumph of good over evil, will have its origins in the Ramayana. In addition to Prabhas playing Rama, Saif Ali Khan will play Ravana, the movie's antagonist. Sunny Singh will be portrayed by Lakshman, best known for his performance in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, English, and other international languages. It would be a pan-Indian production.
