Actor Kartik Aaryan debuted the first teaser trailer for his upcoming movie, Freddy. In the film, he plays Freddy Ginwala, an awkward-appearing dentist suspected of being a serial killer.
The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and is scheduled to release on December 2 on the OTT platform, Disney Plus Hotstar. Sharing the video, Kartik Aaryan wrote, “Welcome to the World of #Freddy Appointments open 2nd December 2022.”

The teaser begins with unsettling music playing in the distance. In addition to many other characteristics of the actor's persona, it introduces Aaryan as the "lonely, naive, nervous, honest, introverted, shy" dentist. During the day, he can be seen attending to patients in a clinic. He becomes a murderer at night, dragging a body into a forest. He appears to be a convincing psycho killer thanks to his eerie smile. The longer-than-one-minute teaser video shows him talking, smiling, and even moonwalking to himself.
His pet turtle, "Hardy" is his only companion. A married woman named Kainaaz, played by Alaya F, falls in love with Freddy but has an abusive husband. To marry Kainaaz, Freddy devises a novel plan, but there is a twist that upends his world and sends his emotions into a tailspin.

The film is produced by Balaji Telefilms, NH Studioz and Northern Lights Films. It marks the first collaboration of Kartik Aaryan and Disney Plus Hotstar. It will be released on December 2, 2022.
In addition to this, he will next be seen in Shehzada, which will be his second collaboration with Kriti Sanon following Luka Chuppi. The Rohit Dhawan-directed movie will hit theatres in February next year. It is the authorised Hindi translation of the Telugu megahit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, starring Allu Arjun. He also has Satya Prem Ki Katha with Kiara Advani. The actor will also star in Aashiqui 3. The makers are yet to reveal which actor will star opposite him in the film.
