Upcoming film Forensic stars actors Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte in lead roles as they investigate a series of murders. Forensic release date and trailer were released by the OTT streaming platform Zee5.
Forensic stars Vikrant Massey as a forensic officer Johnny Khanna and Radhika Apte as a police officer Megha Sharma. The cast also includes Rohit Roy, Prachi Desai, and Vindu Dara Singh in supporting roles. Forensic is directed by Vishal Furia and is produced by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Mini Films.
The psychological thriller Forensic is an adaption of a 2020 Malayalam film of the same name. The original starred Tovino Thomas and Mamta Mohandas as the forensics expert and police officer respectively.
Set in Mussoorie, the film follow Apte’s and Massey’s characters as they attempt to track down a killer who murders young girls on their birthdays. While initial evidence and forensic data point to the killer being a young child aged 10 to 12 years, the trailer shows the leads doubting their initial theories as they uncover more information.
Apte spoke about the original 2020 Malayalam film and said she “thoroughly loved it.” She then described the upcoming film Forensic as “not a remake” and said it was “an adaption to which we have given our own perspective. It is Vishal Furia, our director’s perspective and I hope that people enjoy the new twists and turns in the film.”
Apte said that “I can guarantee that the viewers are in for a surprising shock as this is not just another murder mystery”. She added, “the suspense is ‘killer’ and the shock is inevitable”.
Radhika Apte's last film appearance was in 2020 in the crime thriller drama film Raat Akeli Hai. Apte's upcoming film releases Vikram Vedha, Monica, O My Darling, and Forensic will premiere in 2022.
Forensic Release Date
The psychological thriller remake Forensic will premiere on the over-the-top (OTT) streaming service Zee5. The streaming platform released the official ">trailer and announced that the film will premiere on June 24.
