Five Shriya Pilgaonkar Films And Shows To Watch Ahead Of Kaadan Release

Shriya Pilgaonkar: Actor Shriya Pilgaonkar is soon going to be seen in a trilingual wildlife drama named Kaadan. The film will be released in Telugu as Aaranya and Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi.

Kaadan is a story about a forest which is under the threat of deforestation as the plans are in place to make a township over it. Rana Daggubati, the film's male lead, is playing the role of Bandev who has a special attachment with the elephants in the forest so he fights to keep the authorities from uprooting the forest.

As per the trailer, Shriya Pilgaonkar will play the role of Arundhati. She is a journalist covering the story about deforestation. She is seen chasing Daggubati in the film for her story and is donning a typical attire of an Indian journalist with spectacles and salwar kameez.

Mirzapur: 

Shriya's character Sweetie made an impression on many viewers over the initial seasons of the show as she portrayed the fearless woman who is not afraid to go after love even though some very powerful forces are stopping her to do so. The film's anti-hero Munna Bhaiya chases her and does everything to entrap her but Sweety chooses to go with the underdog of the show named Guddu Pandit. However, the show doesn't feature Shriya Pilgaonkar's character in the latest season as she died a brutal death earlier.

Beecham House:

The story of am erstwhile British soldier who decided to quit the army to start his business in the country has Shriya Pilgaonkar in a colourful role. The actor plays the maid of the male lead's wife, a princess of a wealthy royal family in Rajasthan. Pilgaonkar is seen to have her own flair while playing the role as she is witty, loyal to her employers and smart enough to her place in the royal household.

Ekulti Ek:

Pilgaonkar played the female lead of the film named Swara and also won an award for best debut by the state of Maharashtra. The film was directed by Shriya Pilgaonkar's father and renowned actor Sachin Pilgaonkar who cast himself as Swara's father in the film. Pilgaonkar's character goes to look for her estranged father who left the family to build his career in the music industry.

Fan :

Pilgaonkar got a chance to play the love interest of Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the film Fan. The movie had Shah Rukh play a double role, one of himself and another of his fan who obsessed with him. Even though Pilgaonkar didn't appear for much longer in the film, she was one of the many influences in the male lead's life. The film received widespread recognition.

Un Plus Une :

The film Un Plus Une was first screened at the Toronto Film Festival in 2015 and Pilgaonkar played the role of Ayanna in the film. The French romantic comedy was shot in Indian along the ghats of Ganga and was directed by Claude Lelouch. The two main casts of the film are Jean Dujardin and Elsa Zyslberstein.
