Samrat Prithviraj
Following the success of Padman and Gold, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his next starring role in the historical period drama Samrat Prithviraj. He also stars as the eponymous king in this movie alongside Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood. The film is helmed by Chandraprakash Jha and is set for a June 3 release. Akshay Kumar is all set to enthral the fans with his historical film produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures. It is a story about the ruler of Mewar between 975-1025 AD called Chachigadeva or Prithviraj Chauhan.
Major
The movie will flaunt the heroics of 26/11 martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. The production budget of the film is Rs 75 crore. Major stars Adivi Sesh and Anu Emmanuel in lead roles. It is directed by Pushkar-Gayatri, who earlier helmed films such as Vennela, Happy Days, and Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam. The film will clash with Samrat Prithviraj on June 3. Downton Abbey: A New Era
Downton Abbey: A New Era, based on the hit British series, is slated to be theatrically released in India on June 3. The film is a sequel to the 2019 movie of the same name, where Lord Grantham's youngest daughter Mary Crawley (played by Molly Elliot), who died in childbirth at the end of Season 6 (1925) returns from beyond her grave as a new mother with a mission from her late husband Henry Talbot (played by Matthew Goode). She will reunite with Ivo Von Hessen (played by Paul Gittins), who is an aristocrat and an ambassador to Britain.
Vikram
Vikram is a Tamil drama film, starring Kamal Haasan in the title role. The film is directed by Pushkar and Gayatri and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. It is based on real-life incidents that happened to a man called Mathangi Subramanian, who was identified as Vikram. Kamal Haasan's upcoming Tamil film released its first poster on Wednesday. The film, which also features Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles, has been produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu. The poster features all three actors dressed as police officers, with Kamal Haasan holding a gun in his hand.
Jurassic World: Dominion
The highly anticipated feature film Jurassic World: Dominion is set to hit theatres on June 10. Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt will return to star in the dinosaur movie along with Jeff Goldblum, BD Wong, Toby Jones, and Rafe Spall. The film will be directed by J.A. Bayona who directed A Monster Calls in 2016. Fans are getting ready for the ultimate dinosaur showdown with this theme park-themed LEGO set. The three-story interactive model includes a cinema, control centre, communication centre and much more. The set also comes with five mini-figures, including two velociraptors and three movie characters, plus six dinosaur figures that you can play out your own Jurassic World adventure.
