Two years since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, everyone is experiencing a semblance of normalcy with governments lifting restrictions. The theatres which were closed for the longest time are now up and running again and people are flocking back to witness films back on the silver screen.
The last two Fridays of April will be busy at the Box Office with seven releases scheduled with KGF Chapter 2 adding to the madness. There's a range of choices for audiences to choose from: action, thrillers to romance and criminal comedies to sports dramas in predominantly two languages—Hindi and English. We have compiled a list of upcoming films that you should look forward to.
Films Releasing in April
Jersey- April 22
Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapoor star in the film. Arjun, played by Kapoor is a skilled but unsuccessful cricketer. He decides to return to the sport in his late thirties in order to represent India and fulfil his son's wish for a jersey as a gift. The sports drama will hit the screens on April 22.
Operation Romeo- April 22
The plot includes a scene when a man and a woman in a car are ready to kiss, and the door is violently slammed shut. Sub-inspector Jadhav believes that the couple is a threat to society's moral core. Sidhant Gupta, Sharad Kelkar, Kishore Kadam, and Bhoomika Chawla play key roles in Operation Romeo. Another well-known performer who has been enlisted for Operation Romeo is Vedika Pinto. It is a romantic thriller film scheduled for theatrical release on April 22.
The Bad Guys - April 22
Mr Wolf, Mr Snake, Mr Piranha, Mr Shark, and Ms Tarantula are finally apprehended after a lifetime of legendary heists. The animal outlaws must pull off their most difficult con yet: becoming model citizens, in order to avoid a prison sentence. Professor Marmalade, the dubious gang's mentor, sets out to deceive the world into thinking they're becoming good. Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Anthony Ramos, Craig Robinson, Richard Ayoade, Zazie Beetz, Lilly Singh, and Alex Borstein provide the voices for the film.

It is a computer-animated crime comedy picture that will be released in theatres. The Bad Guys premiered in Israel on March 16, 2022, and had their world debut at the Theatre of the Ace Hotel on April 12, 2022. It is set to be released in the United States on April 22 and in India on May 20.

Memory- April 29
An accomplished assassin, Alex(Liam Neeson), becomes a target when he refuses to fulfil an assignment for a violent criminal organisation. Agents from the FBI and Mexican intelligence are dispatched to examine the body trail, which leads them closer to Alex. The around a vigilante sent by the government, on a mission to assassinate hostile forces. However, things go awry when he is mistaken for the troops' commander. Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Tara Sutaria feature in the film. The romance-action film will hit the theatres on April 29.
