The 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards, which were broadcast live for the first time on Netflix's YouTube channel, presented awards (known as the Actor) to actors who distinguished themselves in films and television programmes throughout the past year.
As the winners of the SAG awards (Lead Actor Will Smith, Lead Actress Jessica Chastain, Supporting Actor Troy Kotsur, and Supporting Actress Ariana Debose) also took the stage on Oscars night last year, the Screen Actors Guild Awards are commonly touted as a predictor of Oscar success.
