Raj and DK’s Farzi marks Shahid Kapoor’s OTT debut and Vijay Sethupathi’s Hindi OTT debut. The eight-part series was released on February 10. The star cast also includes Kay Kay Menon, Raashi Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Regina Cassandra. Farzi is a crime thriller all about counterfeiting. The series was bankrolled by Raj and DK’s D2R Films.
The makers of The Family Man have given the audience yet another binge-worthy series with an intriguing plot and solid performances from the actors.
Farzi narrates the story of Sunny (Shahid Kapoor), an artist who makes exact replicas of renowned paintings. Disappointed with the economic inequality in the country after his grandfather’s press runs out of business, he and his best friend Firoz (Bhuvan Arora) start producing counterfeit currency. They are challenged by Michael Vedanayagam (Vijay Sethupathi), a cop. Meanwhile, Michael is also involved in a cat-and-mouse chase with Mansoor Dalal (Kay Kay Menon), the king of counterfeiting.
