The much-awaited trailer of Prime Video's upcoming thriller 'Farzi' is finally out. Shahid Kapoor's OTT debut has been making waves for quite some time now and with a peek into what the series entails, the audience would be eager for the show's release on the streaming platform.
From what the trailer reveals, Farzi gives an insight into the widening gap between the rich and poor and how a conman artist, fed up with his struggles, pursues a shortcut to success. The series is directed by Raj and DK.

The makers and the cast of the series took to their social media to share the trailer on Friday. Taking to Instagram Shahid Kapoor, wrote, "Sab Farzi hai, par yeh trailer asli hai." Kapoor who plays an artist in the series can also be seen displaying an artistic side playing a conman named Sunny.
Kapoor's character in the show can be heard saying, "To break the system, a bloody revolution must take place," hinting at the cons he will be undertaking to bridge the gap between himself and the wealthier class in the country.

The makers have roped in an interesting star cast for the show featuring Kay Kay Menon, Amol Palekar, Regina Cassandra and Raashii Khanna among others. Apart from the starry presence of Kapoor, the eight-episode series has superstar Vijay Sethupathi on board too, who will be playing an investigative cop called Michael. It will be interesting to see the deadly combination of the actors involved.
Farzi trailer demonstrates the much talked about class divide in the country, how the rich denounce the poor and why the gap between the wealthy and the poverty-stricken is only widening with time. Going with the notion of 'If you can't change the rules, change the game,' the series attempts a story on the backdrop of system failure and the rise in crime.
It will be interesting to see the cat-and-mouse chase in the series and whether or not Kapoor's character will debunk the age-old systemic challenges the common people often face in the country.
Farzi will stream on Amazon Prime Video from February 10, 2023.
