OTT series in India is turning the tables with respect to the entertainment industry. With all kinds of audiences finding related content across platforms, filmmakers are tapping on this aspect and bringing the country's famous stars to star in web series in never-seen-before avatars. One such actor to join the bandwagon is Shahid Kapoor. Kapoor is all set to star in Prime Video's series titled 'Farzi'.

Farzi Release Date
The makers of Farzi released an introduction video for the series featuring Shahid Kapoor. In the video, shared by the actor himself, he can be seen painting whilst discussing the nature of artists. Saying, "artist toh artist hota hai," Kapoor showcases his artistic side and hints at what the series entails.
In another Instagram post, Kapoor shared the series’s motion picture, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi in a significant authoritative role. The makers released a separate poster featuring Sethupathi, captioning, "Here to uncover the asli behind the Farzi."
Kapoor is all set to play a conman in the series whereas Sethupathi will essay the role of a police officer.
The plot
The directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, who recently earned massive success with their show The Family Man, will bring the multi-starrer cast together in one frame in this much-awaited thriller.
The eight-episode series is a one-of-a-kind nail-biter based on crime, wherein Kapoor plays an underdog street artist called Sunny while Sethupathi plays a smart cop named Michael. The cat-and-mouse chase between the conman and the police force is what drives the narrative that also surfaces the rigged Indian system that favours the rich and denounces the poor.
The show also features notable actors Kay Kay Menon and Amol Palekar in important roles. Apart from Raj and DK, Sita R Menon and Suman Kumar have also served as writers of the show.
