The saga of low-key and mysterious Bollywood wedding continue this year as actor Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are reportedly going to get married in a small ceremony with close family and friends. The talks about the couple began with a social media post by Dandekar, who had posted the picture with a "mystery man," until Akhtar confirmed it.
A news media report said that the couple is set to tie the knot in March this year. Considering the spike in COVID-19 cases in Mumbai and in India, the couple will reportedly get married in a low-key wedding ceremony and the guest list will remain confined to family members and close friends.
Reportedly, the couple lives together and do not want to delay their wedding and thus have decided to keep it an intimate affair. BollywoodLife also reported that the couple have booked a five-star hotel for the venue. The clothes for the wedding for both bride and groom reportedly will be designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who also designed the outfits for Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's wedding.

Farhan Akhtar also has a busy year ahead as a director. His film starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, Jee Le Zaraa is scheduled to begin the shoot this year. The film is about three women going on a trip together.

Akhtar met the Indian-Australian singer Dandekar on the sets of a television show I Can Do That. The show was hosted by Akhtar and Dandekar was one of the contestants along with actor Gauahar Khan, Mandira Bedi, Gurmeet Choudhary, VJ Bani and others.
Then came the controversial post by Dandekar on Instagram where she showed herself walking beside a mysterious man whose back was to the camera. The post sparked the rumour of their relationship and was later clarified by Akhtar. He shared the same picture with a heart emoji.
They first made their public appearance as a couple at actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding reception on December 1 in Mumbai. Read more about it here.
