Farhan Akhtar In Ms Marvel: Farhan Akhtar will star in the first-ever Muslim South Asian superhero series, following the story of the ordinary teen Kamala Khan, essayed by Iman Vellani. This teenager then transitions into a superhero Ms Marvel and calls herself Ms Marvel based on her favourite superhero Captain Marvel.
This will mark this actor-director's Hollywood debut. Farhan Akhtar revealed that he has worked closely with director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Farhan Akhtar, a leading Bollywood actor-director has an undisclosed guest role on Ms. Marvel. This series follows the life of Kamala Khan, a teenager from an immigrant family living in New Jersey. She is an avid gamer and a fan-fiction writer who idolises Captain Marvel but she still feels left out and that she does not fit in. Things change for the teenager when she realises that she also has the superpowers like those heroes she looked up to.
Akhtar will be seen in the cast of Ms Marvel along with Iman Vellani, Anjali Bhimani, Pakistani actor Mehwish Hayat, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, and Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. After he revealed the news of working with director Sharmeen, reports suggest that Farhan will be seen in episodes 4 and 5 all set to air n Disney+Hotstar on June 29 and July 6.
Bisha K Ali, screenwriter for Kamala Khan’s character said, “Ms Marvel is a new kind of superhero but at the core of all of it her story is so universal.” Universe.Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah ,Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon will helm this series.Created by G.Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphon, Kamala Khan and her superhero alter-ego Ms Marvel first entered the Marvel Comic Universe in the 2015 comic series.
