Sushant Singh Rajput: Choreographer Farah Khan bagged the Best Choreography Trophy at the Filmfare Awards 2021 for her song Dil Bechara. Khan dedicated her seventh Filmfare win to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput who featured in a song from his last film titled the same.
On Saturday, Farah Khan remembered the Kedarnath actor and labelled this particular win “special”.
"This one's special. My 7th Filmfare for Dil Bechara. My only song with Sushant Singh Rajput who turned my good choreography into an exceptional song with his ease.... bittersweet feelings while accepting this today," read an excerpt from her Instagram post.
She also thanked filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra for making her a part of his directorial debut Dil Bechara. "Thank you my bhai, Mukesh Chhabra. I thought I am doing you a favour but clearly it was the opposite."
The Indian film Dil Bechara is an on-screen adaptation of John Green’s book The Fault In Our Stars. The 2020 release stars Sanjana Sanghi as the lead opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, while Swastika Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan appear in a cameo.
The nominations for the 66th Filmfare Awards 2021 were announced at the beginning of this week.
Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was featured in the Best Actor category for his performance in the film Dil Bechara. Also, Irrfan Khan, whom we lost last year in April, was nominated in the aforementioned category for his role in Angrezi Medium.
Along with these actors, Amitabh Bachchan in Gulabo Sitabo, Ayushmann Khurrana in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Rajkummar Rao in Ludo also made it to the nominations.
