Samantha Ruth Prabhu received a wedding proposal from a devoted fan, just days after her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, got engaged to actor Sobhita Dhulipala. The fan, who goes by the username Mukesh Chintha, shared a humorous video where he pretends to track down Samantha’s home in Hyderabad and propose to her in a very unique way.

In the video, Mukesh begins by joking, “I'm on my way to Samantha to tell her that she doesn’t need to worry because I’m always going to be there for her.” The fan then pretends to arrive at her ‘house’ and eventually finds her in her ‘gym.’ Once there, he gets down on one knee and proposes, saying, “I am open to marrying if you are.” He also amusingly asks Samantha for two years to become ‘financially independent’ before he can fully commit. Mukesh captioned the video with a motivational quote: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
The video quickly caught Samantha’s attention, and she responded in the comments section, writing, "The gym in the background almost convinced me ♥️." Mukesh was overjoyed by her reply and shared her comment on his Instagram Stories, adding, "If the world is against Samantha, then I am against the world."
Fans of the actor found Mukesh to be extremely lucky to have received a response from Samantha. Many even playfully urged Samantha to consider his proposal. One comment read, "Must give him a chance!"
While many fans are creating supportive content for Samantha amidst Chaitanya's engagement news, some have taken a different route by criticising Sobhita Dhulipala. Although Samantha and Chaitanya made a mutual decision to part ways, the topic of their divorce continues to spark debate. Fans might believe they are defending Samantha, but in doing so, they risk objectifying both women, which is neither respectful nor appropriate.
On the work front, Samantha is gearing up for her next project, Citadel: Honey Bunny, directed by Raj and DK. The series, co-starring Varun Dhawan, is set to premiere on Prime Video on November 7, 2024.
