Falguni Pathak Reacts On O Sajna, Fans Say 'She Is Upset Too'

Falguni Pathak responded to criticism that Neha Kakkar received from audiences for recreating her well-known song Maine Payal Hai Chhankai for her most recent single, O Sajna. Pathak  seems to be upset over the remake.

Recently, Neha Kakkar released O Sajna, a cover of Falguni Pathak's famous Maine Payal Hai Chhankai from the 1990s. While the song appears to have gained some fans—having received 18 million YouTube views and is third in the trending section of music in only four days, however, many people are not pleased with the version. Many admirers argued that Kakkar had "ruined" the original. Falguni Pathak, the singer of the original song, reposted several of these posts on her own social media, hinting that she is also unhappy with the soundtrack.

Falguni Pathak Reacts On O Sajna:

On September 19, the song ">O Sajna debuted on YouTube. With some additional lyrics written by Jaani, it is sung by Neha Kakkar and features the same melody and hook line as the original song. In addition to Kakkar, Priyank Sharma and Dhanashree Verma appear in the song video. Fans overwhelmingly stated in the comments section of the YouTube video that "no one can beat the original version." Several Instagram users posted videos on the social media site, tagging Falguni Pathak and Neha Kakkar, apparently upset with the recreation.

On Instagram Stories, Falguni Pathak reshared a number of these criticisms and jabs, but she didn't offer any response. She reshared viewers' stories like, "stop torturing us with your voice and with the remakes", "Thank you s***ing once again on one of my fave classics", and "it cringes me watching O Sajna by Neha Kakkar".  Others, though, were certain that she also disapproved of the new version. One Twitter user stated, "She is upset too." "OG Singer is upset and it's fairly understandable," another person commented.

The original version of Maine Payal Hai Chhankai was released in 1999 under the same name as Falguni. Back then, the song was a major smash, and it also instantly made models Vivan Bhatena and Nikhila Palat household names.
