Emma Watson on engagement rumours: Emma Watson, who has been away from Twitter for quite some time now, recently took to the platform to squash rumours on her engagement and career. The Little Women actor, who is currently dating a businessman from Los Angeles, Leo Robinton, recently posted a series of tweets set things straight. The Hollywood star on Tuesday said that speculations around her career and engagement were carried out "to create clicks", regardless of whether they were true or not.
If I have news - I promise I’ll share it with you.

The 31-year-old Trans rights and Human rights activist and actor assured her fans that if she was engaged or if there were any other developments in her life, she would share it with fans herself.
Dear Fans,

Rumours about whether I’m engaged or not, or whether my career is “dormant or not” are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue.
Sharing her first tweets since August of 2020, Watson broke her silence to seemingly address recent rumours that she and boyfriend Robinton are engaged. She was also making headlines after it was reported in February this year that she was retiring from films. Earlier, in conversation with People magazine, Watson spoke about the expectations placed on women, saying, "I never believed the whole 'I'm happy single' spiel. I was like, 'This is totally spiel.'" The Harry Potter star then added, "It took me a long time, but I'm very happy (being single)."
"I call it being self-partnered," she added.
Sharing some updates on how she's been spending her time during the pandemic, the actor tweeted that she is quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are. She also revealed she is doing her best not to spread a virus that is still affecting so many people.
In the mean time please assume no news from me just means I’m quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are - failing to make sourdough bread (!), caring for my loved ones and doing my best not to spread a virus that is still affecting so many people.

She also sent out love to her fans and concluded her Twitter thread saying, "hoping you’re ok and as well and happy as you can be in these strange times."
I am sending so much love to you, hoping you’re ok and as well and happy as you can be in these strange times. And again, thank you to everyone working so hard to keep us safe and well.
