All I Want To Be Is Emily Cooper In Paris!

Emily In Paris is a successful show on Netflix that released its third season this week. And binging on it for the last two days, all I can say is I want to be her. The show has created this tinted-glass world where Emily and her little problems look like this perfect life that is too good to be true.

Since the first season, she has not rested or taken a step back, Emily looks like she has a magnet for tricky situations.

Binging Emily In Paris always gives me this feeling that in any turn of fate, if I ever land in Paris, my life will start to fall into place exactly like Emily's. I don't need a reality check from anyone about the downsides of a life like that because, excuse me, let this girl dream! Have you ever watched some film or show and felt you could leave everything to be in that world?

Emily In Paris Season 3 Review

Emily Cooper was introduced as the representation of the new generation who thinks differently and is all about social media. Many of us relate to her thinking and involving everything to the internet. But making a living out of that so quickly makes the rest of us jealous. Emily walked in on the French land without knowing the language and slowly learnt it the bad way as the proud countrymen needed more time to be ready to accept an American so easily. She then found her best friend, Mindy Chen, who came to Paris without a family and is struggling through life.

Emily's whole life turns into a big dilemma when she falls in love with her neighbour Gabriel but gets to know that he is already in a relationship. After two seasons' worth of drama and lots of sexual tension between the two, in the third season, they start off as friends. Being on the team of Emily-Gabriel, I have been rooting for their relationship for far too long to tolerate any more drama. In this season, too, they come closer, and by the end, their closeness becomes a big obstacle in the flow of events.

At work, there is no one sharper than Emily. She is the perfect employee who never gets tired of work and brilliant marketing ideas flow through her brain like blood. The " target="_blank" rel="noopener">season starts with another dilemma: she cannot decide if she wants to go back to Chicago and work for Madeline or stay back in Paris for new opportunities with Sylvie. She finally makes a decision, and I wish I, too had to make such easy and luxurious decisions in my life.

The problems in Emily's life are so beautiful, almost matching with the sight of the city of Paris, choosing between two extremely attractive men, well-paid jobs, and a best friend to share an apartment with. Who would want anything else in life but Emily in Paris?

This season of the show seemed a little dragged though, the writers could fill it up with more spice and drama. It ends with another cliffhanger, and I cannot wait for the next season. But fans of the show like me want more interesting characters, work drama and maybe a little more of Emily-Gabriel in the story next season.
