When Is 'Elite' New Season Release Date? Popular Spanish Series Returns With Season 5

The Popular Spanish Series Elite’s season 5 is all set to premiere on April 8 and fans cannot wait to watch the plot further so their queries are resolved. Season 4 of the popular series aired in June 2021 while the makers decided to release a short prelude to the latest season in December 2021 called Elite Short Stories.

The Spanish language teen thriller Elite is returning with its season 5. The series created by Carlos Montero first aired in 2018. Although it is a teen drama, it deals with themes much deeper than the usual teen series and addresses serious issues with a progressive yet mysterious outlook.

The story centres around three teens from working-class families who get a scholarship to the most elite school in Spain named Las Encinas. The three teens have to now adapt to the new environment where they are surrounded by rich kids and deal with feelings, trauma, relationships and murder.

When Is Elite New Season Release Date?

Elite started with the story of Christian, Nadia and Samuel who entered Las Encinas and their adjustment to the new surroundings and people around them led to attractions, envy and murder.

Consecutive seasons see new students, dark secrets, accusations and revelations about the murder mystery. The fourth season ended with another murder; Guzman, Rebe and Samuel were considered the prime suspects. The season 5 trailer starts with the scenes from a party in a nightclub which cuts to show police at the same location. It introduced new characters, dynamics, sexual relations and 'bloody' mysteries.

Elite season 5 will be starring Itzan Escamilla, Omar Ayuso, Claudia Salas, Carla Díaz, Manu Rios, Martina Cariddi, Diego Martín, Pol Granch and Georgina Amorós reprising their roles from season 4. Valentina Zenere, André Lamoglia and Alex Monner will join the new season as new characters.

The shooting for the season was completed in June 2021, meanwhile, the shooting for season 6, which is in the making, began in February 2022. Elite season 5 will release on Netflix on April 8, 2022. The eight-episode season will drop all the episodes in one go and the timing is reported to be 3 a.m. ET in the US.
