Watch: Elderly Couple Recreates 'Rimjhim Gire Sawan'

Who says romance in old age fades? It doesn't, it just requires the heart to be young and that's what this elderly couple would probably like to say through their heartwarming video. The elderly couple chose a unique way to celebrate their years of togetherness. They recreated the iconic sequence from the 1979 Bollywood hit Rimjhim Gire Sawan, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee. 

The couple identified as Shailesh Inamdaar and Vandana, reshot the song in the same locations as the original song was shot. Not just locations, but the sequence, the mood, and the entire vibe of the song were recreated in the exact same way. From walking along Marine Drive to their road crossings. The couple acted on point just the way Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee did. Vandana wore a sage green saree, acted just the way Chatterjee did, danced around, and enjoyed every vibe of Mumbai's rain. The footage had the iconic landmarks of Mumbai, including Gateway of India and Marine Drive.

YouTube user Ankita Ringangaavkar shared a romantically recreated video on YouTube that grabbed widespread attention and resurfaced on Twitter as well. The video is said to be shot by the elderly couple's friends Ankita Ringangaavkar and her husband Anup.  

Anand Mahindra also reshared it on his Twitter handle. He tweeted the video and captioned- This is justifiably going viral. An elderly couple re-enacts the popular song 'Rimjhim gire sawan' at the very same locations in Mumbai as in the original film. I applaud them. They’re telling us that if you unleash your imagination, you can make life as beautiful as you want it to be."

The comments started pouring soon on the post. A user said, "Age is just a number. Keep your inner child alive. Love it. Thank you for sharing. Have a great Sunday!" Another user calling it inspirational said, "Wow, what a spirit, what a love…. Truly inspirational! The real love is time tested! I hate those pre-wedding muchy muchy fake video shoots of new couples which are a rage now a days just for the sake of FB/ Insta. This is real.
