Ata Johnson, The Rock Dwayne Johnson's mother, steals the show in the new episode of Jimmy Fallon's talk show.

In the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, featuring Dwayne Johnson, it was his mother who stole the spotlight even with her brief appearance!

In a virtual interview with the Rock, the actor was promoting his new NBC sitcom series Young Rock, to be released on February 16. The show is based on Johnson’s life experiences from childhood days to being a teenager. It will focus on various ups and downs he faced while growing up. During the interview, the host Jimmy Fallon talked about the video of his mother playing the instrument ukulele, which he recently posted on social media.

That is when the 48-year-old actor surprised the host by bringing his mother, Ata Johnson on camera, and having her play two songs on the ukulele for him. 

The 72-year old lady first played a rendition of the Samoan song Savalivali Means Go For a Walk. Dwayne also joined his mother in and both of them sang their hearts out.

One song wasn’t enough for Ata as she announced after singing the first, "We have one more!" to which the actor said, "No we don't have one more! What's happening?"

Ata Johnson then began to sing an impromptu song to Jimmy Fallon, singing along with her son, "We love you, Jimmy / Oh, yes, we do / We love you, Jimmy / and that is true. When we're away from you/we're blue. Oh Jimmy, we love you." After they finished singing, he applauded his mother and gave her a high five.

Touched by their sweet song for him, Jimmy expressed his delight and said, "said, "Oh my — I love you! I'm sending love right back to you. Mom just crushed by the way! You just stole the interview. You're unbelievable. You are a superstar!"

The host Jimmy and Ata also had a sweet conversation between them in her unplanned appearance in the show.

During the brief exchange, Ata Johnson asked Jimmy if he remembered her, to which he replied, "Of course, from our bit on New Year's Eve. I remember our bit."

Furthermore, while talking about the video where she was singing, which Dwayne posted, she revealed it was during their visit her parents' gravestones in Hawaii and added, "Every time we go to Hawaii, we go to visit my parents, yeah."
