Gulshan Devaiah, Drashti Dhami To Star In K-drama Remake, 'Duranga'

Duranga is an upcoming romantic thriller web series that is the official remake of the Korean series Flower of Evil. The series stars Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami in the lead roles. The official teaser of Duranga was launched today on July 28.

The OTT platform released the trailer today and wrote, "Perfect man, father, husband or perfectly faking it all? Uncover the truth in #DurangaOnZEE5 coming soon. An official adaptation of the Korean Show, ‘Flower Of Evil’."

According to the teaser, Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami portray the lovers, Sammit and Ira in Duranga. They seem like the perfect family on the outside: an affectionate couple with a lovely, six-year-old daughter who adores her parents. However, Sammit keeps up a façade of being a perfect husband to his Inspector wife, Ira, as the story unfolds in three separate timelines while hiding a dark past.

Ira begins investigating a string of brutal replica crimes carried out by a person who is believed to have been an associate of the criminal twenty years after a psychotic serial killer by the name of Bala kills himself. The information she learns about her husband, Sammit, as a result of this case is disturbing. The narrative will demonstrate how the characters navigate through ongoing difficulties while remaining strong. Watch the teaser here. The series also stars Rajesh Khattar, Divya Sheth, Zakir Hussain, Barkha Bisht, Abhijit Khandkekar, and Hera Mishra.

For those unaware, Drashti Dhami is a popular television star who has previously appeared in web series like I Don't Watch TV and The Empire. Gulshan Devaiah is mostly known for his roles in Shaitan, Hate Story, Badhai Do, and Hunterrr.

Duranga is an official adaptation of the Korean show named Flower of Evil which starred Lee Joon Gi, and Moon Chae Won. It aired in 2020. Duranga is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and Aijaz Khan, and helmed by Goldie Behl's Rose Audio Visuals and Shradha Singh. The series will have nine total episodes and is expected to premiere on the OTT platform in August 2022. The series is slated to premiere on Zee 5.
