Saudi Arabia allegedly wants Disney to cut twelve seconds in the film Doctor Strange 2. The scene in question has a character named America Chavez talk about being raised by two mothers. The general supervisor of cinema classification for Saudi Arabia Nawaf Alsabhan said that they want the cut of the scene where Chavez refers to her "two moms." However, they have also denied that the film is going to be banned in the country.

So far, Disney had denied complying with the request being made on the required edits for it to release smoothly there. The sequel to the superhit Doctor Strange is going to release on May 6 this year. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Patrick Stewart and Rachel McAdams.

Alsabhan further said, "It's just her talking about her moms because she has two moms. And being in the Middle East, it's very tough to pass something like this." He further said that the film has been sent to the distributor, who sent it to Disney. They said that they are not willing to make the cut.
