Earl Simmons, better known as Dark Man X (DMX) passes away at the age of 50 on April 9. His ex-wife Tashera Simmons was by his bedside throughout his treatment.
The rapper/actor/singer was admitted to a critical care unit at White Plains hospital, New York where he died following a heart attack. Issuing a statement that confirmed the alive state of DMX a few hours before his death, Tashera Simmons has not yet commented anywhere on his death.
Who Is Tashera Simmons?
Actor and Reality TV star Simmons was born the New York City in 1971. She was just 11-years-old when she first met DMX and started dating him after she turned 18-years-old.
The couple got married in the year 1999. However, Simmons filed for a divorce in the year 2012 and they parted ways in 2014 after having four kids together.
The same year she filed the divorce, the couple appeared in a reality TV show in VH1 in 2012.
In an interview, she was quoted saying "I do still feel bad about getting a divorce, even after everything X put me through as I took my vows very seriously. Moreover, I know X is never going to love anyone the way he loves me, and I feel the same way about him."
She wrote the book You Think You Know, You Have No Idea in the year 2013 after she filed the divorce. Simmons at the moment runs a podcast named Freedom of Truth.
