Bollywood actress Disha Patani has dubbed for the Hindi version of the second season of an international television series called The Boys. Patani has lent her voice to one of the series’ prime characters called Annie January aka ‘Starlight’.
The Boys is based on a comic book of the same name and explores a group of superheroes who use their powers for evil rather than good. The series’ first season debuted on Amazon Prime Video in 2019. The Hindi version of the second season dropped on the same platform on October 28, 2020. Apart from Patani, Bollywood actors Arjun Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are also a part of the project. The two have lent their voices to characters called ‘Butcher’ and ‘Homelander’ respectively. The show has also been dubbed in Telugu and Tamil.

Disha Patani’s Fascination With Superheroes
As per an ANI report, Patani was extremely happy at getting a chance to dub for an international superhero-oriented television series. “Disha has always had a fascination for superheroes. She would love to play a character like Wonder Woman in future … Disha dubbed in the span of 10-15 days for ‘Starlight’ amidst this lockdown,” the sources added. Expressing her excitement at bagging such a project, Patani said, “Dubbing for the character has been such a fun experience and I hope the audience is able to enjoy The Boys along with my character and her journey in the same way that I did.”
Furthermore, talking to the Deccan Chronicle about her character, she said, “Starlight is probably one of the most humane and grounded amongst the Vought army. You can’t help but feel for her. Having said that, she’s not to be trifled with, and terrifying when provoked.” Disha Patani was last seen alongside Aditya Roy Kapoor in the Mohit Suri-directorial Malang (2020). Her upcoming projects include Radhe, where she will be starring opposite Salman Khan, and the sequel to Ek Villain.
